Okay, so I’ve got one foot in the healthy door, and one foot in the, “let’s just have fun” door. I think this will take some time to go 100% healthy;) This recipe for easy, no-fail chocolate fondue is my mom’s recipe from when we were kids. It is amazing! Easy to throw together, it doesn’t even require chocolate chips. Seriously, it only took about 10 minutes to whip up for my kids this afternoon.
I have memories of this fondue being a special treat during the holidays. We would always dip fruit, and sometimes cake into the sauce. My mom had at least 2 fondue pots, and sometimes we would make an entire meal out of fondue! Surprisingly, this recipe for chocolate fondue can be served in a fondue pot, which will keep it warm, or served cold.
I served it in a teacup! I thought the girls would enjoy that aspect. Most of our family loves chocolate, and I was truly surprised at how easy this recipe was! It has been a while since I’ve made it. Seeing as it doesn’t require chocolate chips, or a special chocolate bar, it is also the least expensive chocolate fondue you will ever come across. I promise!
This easy, no-fail chocolate fondue recipe will definitely make it into your recipe box. I know, I say that about almost all of my recipes! But it’s true. I don’t share mediocre recipes on here. Always tried and true.
Being not overly sweet, either, you can for sure add pieces of cake to your dipping tray. We had raspberries, three kinds of melon and grapes. I did buy bananas, too, but forgot to put them out….oops! I’ll get on to the recipe for you.
