Have you ever wondered how to fold a bottom sheet properly? Do your bottom sheets often look like a crumpled lump of fabric? Well, I’m here today to show you how I fold a bottom sheet. It’s easy, I promise.
When I was 18, I went to missionary school for six months. There I met many wonderful people, including the dear lady that first showed me how to fold a bottom sheet while we were helping out at an orphanage in Mexico. I don’t remember much from that trip, but I have retained one skill. Haha. How to fold a bottom sheet. I will give it my best to describe to you how it is done.
Step 1: With the good side of the sheet facing you, fold the sheet in half with one elasticized corner tucked into the other…like so.
Step 2: Fold and tuch the other two elasticized corners into each other….like this below.
Step 3: Put one fist into one doubled elasticized corner, and your other fist into the other doubled corner, like this…
Step 4: Bring the two corners together like this, so the seam at one doubled corner is touching the seam at the other corner.
Step 5: Tuck the one doubled elasticized corner over the other corner, so you end up with all four corners tucked together, like this…
Step 6: You will end up with a rectangle with the folded elasticized corners all tucked together on one side. Fold the rectangle into thirds like the next two photos.
Step 7: Fold the finished product in half, and ta-da! You have a neatly folded bottom sheet that will look great on your linen closet shelf.
