How to make chocolate covered strawberries.
- Start by washing and patting dry your strawberries. Use about 2 lbs.
- Lay the strawberries out on a paper towel.
- Set out a piece of waxed paper on a baking sheet that will fit in your fridge, for placing the finished strawberries on.
- In a small glass bowl, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and 2 tbsps of coconut oil. You can do this in the microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time until the chocolate is mostly melted. Take the bowl out and stir the mixture until the chocolate is finished melting.
- Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip and swirl the berry in the chocolate. Gently shake off the extra drips of melted chocolate, and place carefully on the waxed paper to cool.
- After you’ve dipped all your berries, tuck the baking sheet into your fridge to chill.
- Enjoy!
- They’d look beautiful placed in a pretty box with a ribbon for Mom, wouldn’t they?

A few tips…
- Dry your strawberries well before dipping so the chocolate sticks.
- Use fresh, lovely looking berries for dipping.
- Make sure to chill the berries soon after dipping. The longer they are out, the less attractive they’ll be.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate, like, white chocolate, dark chocolate, etc.
- You can use pretty much any type of fat that is solid at room temperature. I used coconut oil, but shortening would work, also.
